Intent

At St Peter's Catholic Primary, we use a structured phonics approach through the well established scheme Read, Write Inc. to help children build strong reading and writing skills from the very beginning.   We place a strong emphasis on early intervention, so if a child needs extra support, we identify it quickly and provide targeted help to keep them on track. By working together at home and school, parents can reinforce key sounds and reading routines, helping their child develop independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
